About the role:
We are seeking a visionary, strategic, and dynamic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join the leadership team at WeatherXM. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in shaping the company's commercial strategy, driving partnerships, and positioning WeatherXM within the market. You’ll work closely with internal teams to align our product offerings with market needs and develop strategies to attract and retain key stakeholders.
As CCO, you will have the opportunity to explore new business models, partnerships, and strategies to support the growth of our company. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, leveraging their commercial expertise and creativity to take our business to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Developing and Executing Commercial Strategy:
- Create and implement strategies that align with WeatherXM’s long-term goals, with a focus on identifying new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Set up systems for tracking key commercial metrics and adjust the strategy as the company scales.
Driving Business Growth and Market Expansion:
- Identify and build strategic relationships with potential partners, customers, and stakeholders within the weather data space, space and related industries.
- Leverage industry insights to develop go-to-market plans that will maximize future revenue.
Overseeing Sales and Marketing Functions:
- Manage and align the sales and marketing teams to effectively communicate the value of WeatherXM’s products.
- Ensure the marketing strategies generate leads and build a strong market presence.
Collaborating Across Teams:
- Work closely with product development, engineering, and operations to ensure customer needs are met and all departments contribute to the company's commercial success.
- Provide input into product development to ensure offerings meet market demand.
Financial and Budget Management:
- Develop revenue forecasts and monitor financial performance, ensuring that the commercial side operates efficiently within the allocated budget.
- Work with finance teams to set and meet financial targets.
Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform business decisions and maintain WeatherXM’s competitive advantage.
